PhD student Yiwei Zhang receives 2016 Chinese Government Award for outstanding students abroad

PhD student Yiwei (Eway) Zhang in the Optics Group has been selected for the 2016 Chinese Government Award for outstanding students abroad by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) with a $6,000 prize.

PhD student Yiwei (Eway) Zhang in the Optics Group has been selected for the 2016 Chinese Government Award for outstanding students abroad by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) with a $6,000 prize. Founded by the Chinese government since 2003 and sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education, the award recognises the academic excellent achievements of non-government-funded Chinese students from different disciplines in 29 countries, including USA, UK, German, Japan, Australia and Canada.  The UK ceremony was held at the the embassy of China in London on 28th April 2017.
